CAIS Hardware Architecture v1.0 Consciousness-Aptamer Interface System (CAIS) Hardware Architecture Specification
Jinho Lee

CAIS Hardware Architecture v1.0 defines the official prior-art hardware standard for the Consciousness–Aptamer Interface System (CAIS). This document specifies the physical sensing architecture required for reproducible CAIS-compatible devices, including aptamer–iodine multi-oxidation sensing arrays, redox and photonic sensing modules, analog front-end and ADC pipelines, grounding and electrical isolation requirements, and mandatory microfluidic and optical interface structures.

The Standard establishes fixed architectural constraints for consciousness-state biosensing hardware, ensuring interoperability, reproducibility, and auditability across independent implementations. By formally declaring a global prior-art boundary, this specification prevents proprietary monopolization, incompatible redefinition, or closed-system capture of consciousness-measurement hardware, while preserving open, modular, and multi-vendor development pathways.

This document does not introduce a new theory of consciousness or propose novel signal interpretation models. Instead, it functions as a hardware-level boundary standard that anchors physical sensing architecture prior to algorithmic processing or application-layer design.

CAIS Hardware Architecture v1.0 operates in formal coordination with CAIS Signal Processing Specification v1.0 and Sal-Meter Prototype Guide v1.0, forming the CAIS technical trilogy for standardized, verifiable, and governance-safe consciousness measurement systems.
