The Healthcare Management Information System (HCMIS) is a comprehensive collection of data systematically gathered at healthcare institutions to fulfill the requirements for statistical information on medical services. This research aimed to assess the use of HCMIS information and identify the elements that impact the efficiency of the medical system at the district and primary medical institution levels in Tanzania as a case study. This research was conducted in 11 districts in Tanzania and included 115 healthcare institutions. It was cross-sectional research. The data were gathered via a semi-structured survey given to healthcare professionals at the institution and district stages. The information was then recorded utilizing an observational checklist. The researchers used an analytical technique for thematic content to combine and validate the replies and findings and gather essential data. 93 healthcare institution personnel and 13 district authorities were surveyed. Approximately 61% of the facility participants said they utilized the HCMIS information, but only 39% of the district participants acknowledged consistently analyzing HCMIS information. Out of the participants from nine districts, 68% said that they regularly get feedback on the quality of their work from authority figures monthly and quarterly. The patient workload was often shown to significantly impact the efficiency of staff members in data collection and administration. Insufficient analysis and subpar use of information were prevalent in most districts and healthcare institutions in Tanzania. Inadequate human and financial resources, absence of rewards and monitoring, and lack of standard processes for data handling significantly hindered the HCMIS efficiency in Tanzania.

This research aims to investigate the role of Intellectual Capital (IC), Managing Accounting Information Structures (MAIS), Internal Task Productivity (ITP), and Customer Performance (CP) in moderating the link between strategies and Financial Productivity (FP). The population for this study consisted of medium and enormous manufacturing enterprise business units located in Java. In this study, the enterprise unit is the specific part of the firm accountable for producing and marketing a product or group of items. It is organized based on the type of item that it deals with and operates independently from other companies or divisions within the parent organization. The company unit has a distinct set of competitors, separate from those of different units. It is overseen by an executive liable for establishing and carrying out strategies to meet the specified profit goal. An approach to invention, including product invention, task creativity, and technology, significantly influences firm performance if there is a robust ITP, dependable market analysis, intelligence systems, and effective competitive positioning. The ITP enhances the alignment between the approach and the FP by including operational management activities, customer management chores, Invention Tasks (IT), and regulatory and social tasks. This research found no impact of IC on CP and ITP; similarly, MAIS did not influence FP. Information systems affect financial performance by ITP infrastructure and corporate processes. The contributions of this study include the novel application of the continuous invention approach, integrating product invention and task and information technological devices, which past studies have not explored; the utilization of IC, MAISs, ITP, and CP as mediating factors; the adoption of a holistic method by incorporating aspects of IC, MAIS, and non-FP as contextual factors, about contingency methods, which have not been investigated in the previous study; the development of novel ideas in conjunction with the balanced scoring framework; and the examination of both single and numerous mediating effects on the impact of sustainable approaches to the invention on FP.

Introduction: management information systems currently play a crucial role in optimizing, filtering, and transforming information, which is essential for making wise decisions in companies. Objective: to describe the importance of information systems in the organizational ecosystem of companies. Methods: a document review of articles in the Scopus database was conducted to examine the influence of management information systems on decision-making in the business sector. Results: after a meticulous selection process, a total of 20 documents were analyzed. These documents were segmented in Scopus publishers as follows: Springer (5), Taylor & Francis (5), Elsevier (5), and Wiley (5). A thematic synthesis process was employed, and the most relevant information was coded and described. Conclusions: the results show that management information systems constitute a fundamental link in making wise decisions in the business sector, since they exponentially facilitate data access and control, which are subsequently used and classified as less relevant, relevant, or highly relevant information. Additionally, these systems optimize real working time, leading to a considerable increase in efficiency and effectiveness factors in companies.

This study investigates the impact of Management Information Systems (MIS) on organizational decision-making efficiency. It aims to explore how MIS enhances decision-making processes by providing real-time data and comprehensive analytics, aligning with organizational goals, and leveraging advanced technologies like AI and cloud computing. The research employs a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data. Surveys were conducted among senior managers and IT professionals across various sectors to gather insights into MIS's practical applications and challenges. Additionally, a review of theoretical frameworks, such as the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Resource-Based View (RBV), was undertaken to contextualize the empirical findings. The findings reveal that MIS significantly enhances decision-making efficiency by providing timely and relevant information. Real-time data capabilities and advanced analytics enable managers to make informed decisions quickly, improving organizational agility and responsiveness. Empirical evidence suggests that organizations with integrated and strategically aligned MIS report higher decision accuracy and speed. However, the effectiveness of MIS is contingent on contextual factors like organizational culture and user proficiency. Integrating AI-driven analytics and cloud computing further amplifies MIS capabilities, though continuous technological updates are necessary to maintain system relevance and effectiveness. The study underscores the critical role of MIS in modern business environments, emphasizing the need for strategic alignment and integration with organizational goals. Organizations should invest in advanced MIS technologies, comprehensive training programs, and robust data governance practices for optimal outcomes. These investments are crucial for leveraging MIS to enhance decision-making efficiency, fostering more agile and competitive organizations.

This publication provides guidelines for applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to information systems and organizations. The RMF includes a disciplined, structured, and flexible process for organizational asset valuation; security and privacy control selection, implementation, and assessment; system and control authorizations; and continuous monitoring. It also includes enterprise-level activities to help better prepare organizations to execute the RMF at the system level. The RMF promotes the concept of near real-time risk management and ongoing system authorization through the implementation of continuous monitoring processes; provides senior leaders and executives with the necessary information to make cost-effective, risk management decisions about the systems supporting their missions and business functions; and integrates security and privacy controls into the system development life cycle. Applying the RMF tasks enterprise-wide helps to link essential risk management processes at the system level to risk management processes at the organization level. In addition, it establishes responsibility and accountability for the security and privacy controls deployed within organizational systems and inherited by those systems. The RMF incorporates concepts from the Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity that complement the currently established risk management processes mandated by the Office of Management and Budget and the Federal Information Security Modernization Act.
