Abstract
This study aims to enhance the accuracy of wind energy forecasting by comparing four Weibull parameter estimation methods Method of Moments (MM), Maximum Likelihood Method (MLM), Power Density Method (PDM), and Standard Deviation Method (STDM) using real SCADA data from the Tangier wind farm (2024). The results demonstrate that all methods provide consistent and reliable estimations, with STDM achieving the highest accuracy (0.46% deviation) from actual production. These findings confirm the robustness of the Weibull model and highlight the importance of selecting the appropriate estimation technique for precise wind resource assessment.
