Abstract
Vulnerability scanning tools play a critical role in the web application security framework by identifying potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities that could be exploited by attackers. Cyber security has grown to be a significant advancement in terms of employment and education in the modern world. In actuality, though, very few people are aware of the most significant online hazards. According to certain statistical research, small businesses are both directly and indirectly connected to the internet, yet they are unaware of the main security flaws in their internet-based program. Due to the widespread use of website hosting these days, the majority of online apps are vulnerable to attacks, including malicious web application attacks. This paper explores the significance of vulnerability scanning tools in enhancing the security posture of web applications.
