Abstract
(cid:1) The electrochemical properties of 3D bimetallic NiCu@Cu electrodes are investigated. (cid:1) The effect of Cl (cid:3) ions on the electrodeposition of catalysts is explored. (cid:1) MOR required 170 mV less potential than OER to attains the same current density. (cid:1) NiCu@Cu required only 1.45 V at 10 mAcm (cid:3) 2 overall input voltage for HER and MOR. (cid:1) The catalyst demonstrated good selectivity for methanol upgrading to yield formate.
