Abstract
Abstract This chapter describes candidate vaccines for dengue that have entered clinical trials in humans. Specifically, it includes vaccine studies in which neutralizing antibody titres were measured in subhuman primates at least 6 months after the completion of immunization series or trials that included challenge with a wild-type Dengue virus. Summary information is provided for other dengue virus vaccine candidates. Candidate vaccines that are presented include chimeric vaccines, vectored vaccines, live-attenuated vaccines, inactivated vaccines, recombinant subunit vaccines, DNA vaccines, and replication incompetent vaccines.
