Abstract
This book chapter examines the increasing role of travel in the evolving epidemiology of dengue. It describes historical aspects of travel and dengue infection, the risk of dengue for travellers, the clinical manifestations of dengue in travellers, protection measures for travellers against dengue, the geographic expansion of dengue via travellers, travellers as sentinels, and, air travel in relation to dengue infection and spread.
