Abstract
Fractal graph theory is a burgeoning field at the intersection of network theory, computer science, and mathematics. This work offers a thorough examination of the fundamental concepts, current developments, and practical applications of fractal graph theory. To comprehend how fractals and graphs are integrated in fractal graph theory, we begin by clarifying the basic concepts of both. We investigate several techniques for constructing fractal graphs: including graph operations, self-similarity principles, and iterated function systems. Additionally, this research examines the complex structural features of fractal graphs, by analyzing their topological attributes, such as dimensionality, connectedness, and scaling behaviour. We also explore the computational aspects of fractal graph theory, discussing efficient methods for generating and analyzing fractal graphs. Fractal graphs are utilized to simulate complex systems in various fields, including social networks, biology, and telecommunications. Furthermore, this work outlines directions for future investigation by reviewing current research trends and unresolved issues in fractal graph theory. We discuss how fractal graph models could be expanded to incorporate higher-dimensional and dynamic network phenomena, as well as how machine learning approaches could be employed to study and predict fractal network behaviour.
