TL;DRIt was found that the minute quantities of fresh scales or fin tissues from live fish provided satisfactory quantity and quality of gDNAs that could support several rounds of RAPD-PCR, which has a great implication in gDNA based population genetic studies in endangered and vulnerable species of fishes.
